What should your maintenance plan cost?

Add up what one member costs you in a year (plan visits plus anything else included), then divide by one minus the margin you want to keep. Divide by 12 for the monthly price. Put your own costs in below; nothing is pre-filled from industry figures.

Common questions

How is the price worked out?+

Yearly cost per member = visits × cost per visit + other yearly cost. Price = that cost ÷ (1 − target margin − card fees). For example, a cost of 190 at a 40% margin and 3% fees gives 190 ÷ 0.57 ≈ 333 a year, about 27.78 a month before rounding.

What margin should I use?+

That's your call. We don't publish a typical margin because we haven't found figures we trust. Look at the margin you make on regular work and decide whether the plan should match it, or sit lower because members tend to book more work.

Does the currency change the maths?+

No. The currency picker only changes the symbol and number format. Nothing is converted, so enter your costs in the currency you charge in.

Should I offer a discount for paying yearly?+

Optional. Enter it to see the yearly price and the margin left after the discount. The calculator never adds interest, finance charges or late fees.

Is anything stored?+

No. Everything runs in your browser. If you unlock the full breakdown we store your email, the tool and simple counts (visits per year, margin %, currency).
